Where do all the emails go ?

I am using Windows Live Mail for an IMAP account (not LIVE / Hotmail).
I keep deleteing mails like crazy but now I actually have to get it back .. BUT - they are not in the Trash / IMAP folder.
So where did all those emails go ? I don't even see any local folder where they might have gone to ?

Ah great .. the option "purge when changing folder" is off, but it seems to purgen upon exist .. great ..My own knowledge base made public: http://open902.com
