How to extend boot partion, Virtual PC

I have Virtual PC 2007 and have Win2K3 on a VM. The C drive is running out of space and I want to extend that (I have unallocated space). DISKPART doesn't work and I have Partition Magic CD, but it doesn't run on Win2k3.

I'm sure someone in the gang knows how to do this, so come on

How about GPart, did you try extending the partition with it ? It worked for me on Virtual Ubuntu (given that it was virtualized with ESXi 3.5) GParted -- Live CD/USB/PXE/HD

The VHD itslf needs to be increased in size?

Create a WinPE 3.0 boot disc (or use the Windows 7 install disc)

mount the VHD in diskpart and extend its size. Then use Diskpart to extend the VMs "C" partition.

EDIT: If the VHD is a dynamic disk then just boot into WinPE inside the VM and extend the C volume from in there
