I have Virtual PC 2007 and have Win2K3 on a VM. The C drive is running out of space and I want to extend that (I have unallocated space). DISKPART doesn't work and I have Partition Magic CD, but it doesn't run on Win2k3.
I'm sure someone in the gang knows how to do this, so come on

JBrown Member Posts: 308How about GPart, did you try extending the partition with it ? It worked for me on Virtual Ubuntu (given that it was virtualized with ESXi 3.5) GParted -- Live CD/USB/PXE/HD

Create a WinPE 3.0 boot disc (or use the Windows 7 install disc)
mount the VHD in diskpart and extend its size. Then use Diskpart to extend the VMs "C" partition.
EDIT: If the VHD is a dynamic disk then just boot into WinPE inside the VM and extend the C volume from in there
