Cisco ASA errors

I am using a Cisco ASA 5505 with software version 8.2. The problem is- the ASA will reject ANY traffic destined to it sometimes. Pings, HTTPS, SSH all fail. Internet traffic still works. Network traffic is still passed successfully, but anything destined to the IP address of any interface on the ASA will get dropped.

Now the console shows: Deny IP spoof from (1.1.0.1) to 2.0.0.1 on interface inside. The ASA does not have IP Spoof detection on any interfaces ie: no ip verify command is in use. A packet capture confirms the source layer2/layer3 headers are being seen as expected. A reboot will fix the issue temporarily. But this happens multiple times per day.

I am assuming this is a bug. Does anybody have any insight as to what's going on here? Has anybody else seen bugs with ASA code that makes you want to stop using the product? Is version 7 software better?
