control userpasswords2 & local admins

Hi All,

No idea how commonly known this is, but when you run control userpasswords2 as a user without admin rights, it doesnt work - very annoying!!

If you go to start > run and type rundll32.exe keymgr.dll,KRShowKeyMgr

This opens the normal dialogue box for users without admin rights!! :):):)

Hopefully someone will find this useful.

Does it still function as if you had admin rights?

Certainly does, it bypasses the need to enter the admin credentials.

If a user is not a local admin and you try control userpasswords2, you are prompted to enter admin rights, however even if you do this and enter some managed credentials thinking you are adding them for the user, you are not, you are entering them for the admin profile (if they are the credentials you typed in) hence it never works for users.
