CCNA question

Can anybody share any experiences they have where they had little networking experience but got a job because of their CCNA? For example, in my case, I have intermediate experience with routing and switching but not a whole lot of cisco hardware hands-on experience. I'm getting the CCNA at the end of the month (positive statements=positive results!) and would like to get an idea of who has taken a similar path as myself. I appreciate any input.
