NLB how do they both keep uptodate?

Hey Clustering gurus...say I have two IIS servers or two SQL servers and I am using NLB on them. I know in true clustering you share storage data makes sense to me, but in a NLB scenario how does the data remain up-to-date? on both servers if each has its own instance of the IIS date?
This confuses me unless you point data to a common storage area and use only IIS application to Load balance? What kinds of setups are there for NLB and the the data being up-to-date on both instances? Thanks
I am getting into NLB and clustering and I am starting at NLB and just need help...Thanks a lot for your help in advance..icon_thumright.gif

In most cases, you'd just upload/copy the new files to each server. This is rarely an issue since the dynamic data usually comes from clustered SQL servers and the files on the NLB web servers don't change that often. There are programs you can get that will synchronize updates across all servers.
