Symantec Backup Exec - Certification

I have not taken any certification or formal training with any Symantec products, are you able to just take any certification without the need to go to training like VMWare does?

If so what courses are out there, videos etc. ?

I didnt know they had a certification but it might be worth going for this becoming a Symantec Certified Specialist

Yeah some company consider this backup extremely critical, the place I'm with right now that jacked my salary, requires 3 backups...
