Symantec Backup Exec - Certification

I have not taken any certification or formal training with any Symantec products, are you able to just take any certification without the need to go to training like VMWare does?
If so what courses are out there, videos etc. ?

A: Exam prices vary by country and region. In the United States, the cost is $150 per exam. The Beta exams are $75. Find out about the cost of an exam in your country.
I didnt know they had a certification but it might be worth going for this becoming a Symantec Certified Specialist -

Yeah some company consider this backup extremely critical, the place I'm with right now that jacked my salary, requires 3 backups...
