ITIL Intermediate Capability Stream: Service Offerings and Agreements

I took the 3rd of 9 ITIL intermediate exams today. Today's topic was "Service Offerings and Agreements", which is all about establishing and managing SLAs, OLAs, contracts, and service catalogs, and anything else under the sun they feel like they can throw at you.
This one was without a doubt the toughest ITIL exam I have ever taken. That's saying something, because I've taken quite a few ITIL v2 and v3 exams, and many of them were very difficult. This exam was not nearly as tough as the ISO 20000 Consultant exam that I took in 2007, but that's a whole different ballgame...
I liken this exam to a lot like having to watch "*** and the City", and only then finding out that a "*** and the City" movie is being released and that I'm expected to attend. The only difference would be that attending the *** and the City movie would be much less emasculating than this exam was.
Did I say this exam was hard? It was, and I know this stuff pretty well at this point. I literally struggled with each and every question, and usually was only able to safely eliminate 1 of the 4 choices.
When I hit the submit button, I really wasn't certain that I had passed. To my surprise, I hit submit, and the results page indicated that I received a perfect score - 100%!!
This is my first ever 100% on any ITIL exam (even on the v2 to v3 Foundation bridge, on which I scored a 19 of 20), and maybe on any certification exam (I might have scored 100% on the PMP, but I'm not sure because the score report doesn't say how many quesitons were missed). It was a really good feeling.
The problem that I see with this particular exam is that I've had years and years of experience doing ITIL, I've read the core books for v2 and v3 many times, and I regularly deliver classes on ITIL, and yet, I still felt that this was a really difficult test. The intent of this exam is that students will take it on the last day of a 5 day training class. I would expect that there will be a less than 50% pass rate for the general population on this one...it's really that hard.
Up next for me will be probably Service Operation and Service Design Lifecycle exams. I plan to get those two done in August. We'll see how those go, but I might slow down a bit after that. Also, at some point I need to break off and do an IBM WebSphere Application Server exam, but that's going to require that I spend significant time with a lab and with the software, so I have to put that one on the back burner for the time being.
