offline folders problem after server crash... need a tool to move more current files
here is the back ground info
I had a DC/file server crash and managed to get it "back" ..failed hard drive that was not in a RAID so I installed a new drive and O and manged to recover the data drives which were in a RAID. I now have migrated to a new server called new server (not really)
but my issue is one person had offline files setup and had modified 100+ files or folders
This person has a more recent copy of these files than I do on my new server.. hense my issue
is there a tool I can run on his copy of the data mapped to \\old_server\ to take any files since the failure and copy them to the appropriate location on my new server ?

Smallguy Member Posts: 597Robocopy can do that
so run robocopy and have it extract any files that are newer than my crash date and then **** them to another folder?
not really comfortable having it put the files in their respective folders just in case
