Ethernet question
DerekAustin26
The term "Ethernet" always makes me think of your regular UTP/STP network cable with the RJ 45 jack plugged into your pc and connects to your router, wap, modem etc.
Can an ethernet cable also be a coaxial cable connected to your PC with an AUI connector and then to a transceiver?
( i know this is old and out of date )
But everytime i read about Ethernet and IEEE 802.3 specifications it always mentions 10base2 and other older Coaxial cable types first.

Ethernet is a type of framing and is primarily used on CatV cable but it is done over many other mediums. Here are a few links to check out about Ethernet.
