Bloody Microsoft File Transfer Manager - how do I get rid of this download

Every time I start the manager, an old download pops up. I then cancel it etc.
Then whenever I need it again, I get a popup saying
I can cancel it all the time and it keeps re-appearing .. the download in question doesn't even exist anymore (was a connect beta) but it still keeps asking to have it re-added ...
Anyone seen this before ?
