rar files keep reappearing

About 1 month ago i downloaded 3 RAR files ( extracted 2 of them ) using bit torrent to a folder on my desktop. After deleting the files, they came back the next day into the same folder on my desktop. I deleted them again using command promt, but they are still reappearing. The files are big ( 2 movies and one music file ) so I can imagine that they are being downloaded again everytime without being detected, this could be effecting my bandwidth as I keep getting disconnected every now and again.

I have deleted bit torrent, ran virus scans and spy ware programs but they just keep coming back. I even deleted the main folder on the desktop and next day it came back with the 3 files inside again!

Any help would be appreciated, I'm going mad!

Run Process Explorer after they reappear and see what has the files open. Process Explorer

You might also want to go through your start-up and services and see if anything stands out.

Sounds like your bittorrent client is still running in the background.

Every time you delete the files, it downloads them again. weird it doesn't give you a "these files are in use by..." when you delete them though.
