Not sure what your customary definition of a runner is, but here a runner is more like a delivery person. They don't do "techie" things all day. From what you've said, it sounds like an IT Technician position.

Thats normal if its a small companu you work at... IT guys deliver support, administer websites and servers and deploy systems... youre the IT department...

Youre not a runner your help desk and web administrator.

Thats what a technician does. They go around fixing problems and answering calls from users. Just because you've got to actually move around the office doesn't mean you're a runner. A runner would be somebody who delivers items only.

The other job duties you've acquired would be more than what a regular technician does however. As other have said, this is fairly normal for small companies where the IT department isn't big and everybody does multiple roles.

    Job titles are over-rated.

What matters is can you do the job you were hired for? Are you a bigger asset to the company who pays you then you are a liability?

I've held some positions with 'fancy' titles and for the past 20 years haven't used any. Even the owner of our company won't use them. We do have one guy who is hung up on it, but no one else is...what is funny is the title he has given himself is the same as what sales phone banks give their desk jockey's ;)

FWIW, I wouldn't worry about it. If you want something for a resume (though, you can complete a resume without a job title), customize your job responsibilities for that resume and create your title that summarizes those responsibilities.

And 'runner'...I don't think you'd be a runner. You sound like an employee of a small company to me. Someone needs to bring things back and deliver to the end-user...if the company sends out the receptionist...then you need to be the receptionist (if they have one)...so unless you have a company of 50+, it is fairly common that most of the co-workers overlap their responsibilities...and most are doing their own work without subordinates to have tasks delegated to them.

***I'll add you can Capitalize the word 'I' to show a little respect for yourself too.

    'i' before 'e' except after 'c'.... weird?
