Difference between Extended and Standard Services Tab in Windows XP Pro

This occurred to me today and I looked at both of my books and wasn't able to find anything that would explain the difference between both of those tabs.

The Extended tab shows a description of the currently selected service, Standard doesn't.
EDIT: It also has Start, Stop, Restart links in the description section.
