IPv6 RIPnG summarization

Any ideas on why when summarizing under RIPnG it does not intall a discard route. The only solution was to put a static route to null 0 to avoid a loop. Thanks

    RIPng is a copying the same behavior as its predecessor Ripv2, adding a null route was implemented in eigrp rather than Ripv2.Why this functionality hasn't been added to RIPng? i would imagine they wanted to minimise changes between RIPv2 and RIPng to facilitate an easier migration from ipv4 to ipv6.
