can anyone lead me the way in how to set up named I am having a heck of a time configuring this service and howtoforge didn't seem to help much

Google it...that's how I learned it. I Googled it, found good examples, and implemented it. Do it once, then it'll become easy..
Certs: GSTRT, GPEN, GCFA, CISM, CRISC, RHCE
