Hi!
I'm planning to build a cheap VOIP lab and this is what I have at the moment.
1 Cisco MC3810 Router w/ AVM6x1 APM-FXSx4 APM-FXOx1 APM-E&Mx1 VCM6x1
1 Cisco 1760-V CallManager Express CME 4.1 PVDM-12, 192MB DRAM, 48MB Flash with 1 CISCO VIC-2FXS Card and 1 CISCO VIC-2FXO-EU Card
1 Cisco MC3810-V Router with 1 DVM E1 Card
I also have a 2620XM- and a 3640 -router and a couple of WIC-1T & WIC-2Ts ..
Besides that I'm planning to buy a couple of Cisco 794x/796x phones with power cord, ordinary POTS-phones and a VWIC-1MFT-E1 Cisco Multiflex Trunk Voice/WAN Card for the Cisco 1760-V router ...
So I think I'm on the right way for CCNA Voice lab but maybe I'm wrong .. and what about a CCVP lab, what more HW do I need for that?
Advice/suggestions are most welcome!
I'm also a bit confused about the DVM E1 Card in my Cisco MC3810-V Router, the label on the DVM says T1 but at the RJ-4x port one can read T1/E1. So the Question is, what kind of HW is it, E1- or T1-card?
Here's a bit more info from the router,
MC3810 SCB board (v11.A0), 1 Multiflex T1(slot 4) RJ45 interface(v02.C0)
1 6-DSP(slot2) Voice Compression Module(v02.C0)
1 6-DSP(slot5) Voice Compression Module(v02.C0)
1 Ethernet/IEEE 802.3 interface(s)
2 Low-speed serial(sync/async) network interface(s)
1 Channelized E1/PRI port(s)
1 Channelized T1/PRI port(s)
Now, if it is a E1 in the MC3810, then Q is if it's possible to connect it to the VWIC-1MFT-E1 in the Cisco 1760-V and simulate "Dial-peers via E1crossover” http://www.techexams.net/forums/ccvp/29995-dial-peers-via-t1-crossover.html like the suggested setup below?
Phone-->MC3810 w APM-FXS--(serial interface)-->MFT-E1 in MC3810+DVM T1/E1--->VWIC-1MFT-E1 in Cisco 1760+VIC-2FXS-->Phone
If it is impossible to use a serial connection between the MC3810s then I could buy two Cisco MC3810-MFT-E1 Cards and put one in the MC3810 w APM-FXx cards and the other one in the MC3810 w DVM T1E1 Card, like the setup below ?
Phone--->MC3810 w APM-FXS+MFT-E1--->MFT-E1 in MC3810+DVM T1/E1--->VWIC-1MFT-E1 in Cisco 1760+VIC-2FXS---->Phone
or maybe just this setup?
Phone--->MC3810 w APM-FXS+MFT-E1--->VWIC-1MFT-E1 in Cisco 1760+VIC-2FXS--->Phone
Thanks for your help in advance!
Best Regards
