Hey maybe it's just a lack of coffee. But somehow from this output I am supposed to be able to determine the DIS. I dont get it... am I missing something?

Router#show isis data

IS-IS Level-2 Link State Database:
LSPID LSP Seq Num LSP Checksum LSP Holdtime ATT/P/OL
Router.00-00 * 0x00000002 0xF66C 1169 0/0/0
Router.01-00 * 0x00000004 0x49F8 1167 0/0/0
Router.00-00 0x00000002 0x3E49 1173 0/0/0

It would help to have host names instead of them all being named Router!

You can tell from this output because the DIS will generate two LSPs one of which will represent the pseudo node and be marked 01-00. So for example if you had R1 and R2 you would have one 00-00 entry for R1 and R2, but you will also have a 01-00 entry for which ever router is the DIS.

    D'oh! I suck at Cisco.

Renamed the routers, clear isis *, and it's obvious now. Very obvious.
