Have to take the CHP (Certified HIPAA Professional) test. Some certs (Security+, MCSE) count toward some HIPAA certs.

To be compliant an organization must meet the legislative requirements detailed in HIPAA.

As mentioned, there are also certification programs for individuals. However, I've read in a couple of articles that these certifications are a borderline scam.

Yeah, I have been reading that most of the HIPAA certs are scams. Then at the same time jobs want you to be trained and compliant in the health care field.
