Vista Issue (oh so surprising)

Ok, I am having a Vista printing issue. I have a color printer that needs to be shared. It works fine on the computer it is installed to, but I can't get it added to the other machines. I have file and print sharing turned on, I have the printer shared, and checked to list it in the directory. Whenever I try to add the printer I get the following error:
Logon failure: the target account name is incorrect.
I got this error from an XP machine and from another Vista machine. Any ideas?

In the past I've had problems with Vista and particular printers. Sometimes the easiest way is to buy a network "print server" and use that. I had a lot of problems sharing a printer from a Vista machine.I bring nothing useful to the table... -

Are you using the right username/password that has permissions to access the printer? -

Does the error reprompt for credentials? are you using workgroup creds or do you have a domain configured? If workgroup, are you using an account that has permissions on the print server?"Check both the destination and return path when a route fails." "Switches create a network. Routers connect networks."
