Member server lost connection to AD computer a/c

Our ECA server has lost connection to its computer object in AD. It think it's connected to the domain but can't contact any DCs. Being a Certicates server, I can't simply remove it and reregister the computer. If I backup the cert database and build a new CA server, I will need to clean out all certificate objects from AD, which I'd like to avoid.

Anyone know of a way to reconnect a machine to its AD computer object?

Did you try using Netdom (netdom resetpwd /s:server /ud:domain\User /pd:*) the reset the machine account password? This method will not affect the computer sid nor will it require rejoining the computer to the domain, unlike using the reset account in AD Users & Computers.

You mean the netdom /reset command?

Yep, tried that one; no fix yet though.
