Sky Broadband & Outgoing VPN
First off i would like to say hello to everyone (first post!)
I have a customer who is trying to connect to a VPN server using Sky Broadband. The connection times out (i have confirmed that she is connected to the net okay)
She is able to ping the IP of the VPN server. The only thing i can think off is that the sky modem is blocking a VPN port. I tried speaking to sky but it would have been more helpful if i sat outside in a field on my own for a hour
As i am typing this another user with sky broadband has called up with the same problem, although she has a netgear DG834 wireless router (but again supplied by sky).
Any ideas / people come across this before?

Dan, welcome to the forums.
I have sky bb, and have used a netgear dg834gt and the new sagem one. Both are perfectly capable of using vpn. I can vpn into my work, and i can vpn back into myself using port forwarding.
This is by no means fact, but I don't think the sky router is an issue.
