Frame Relay Service / leased line popularity
Satcom
Im reading fundamentals of WANs Ch4 ICND and im reading about leased lines and frame relay. My knowledge on the civilian sector is limited. I was wondering if frame relay is still popular today in most companies? I remember looking at old networking magazines and looking at frame relay links in the late 90's just not sure what is being used now.
How about leased lines does anybody still use those in the civlian sector. Im sure there are but just curious about the different types of networks out there and what ties companies together...nowadays

Frame relay is still pretty popular. I've heard that a lot of networks are moving toward integrating MPLS.

Yeah my company uses MPLS back in the states if I remember reading an e-mail. I remember reading the wikipedia article on MPLS but havent seen anything covered in any material I am studying out here we use satellites over idirect modems tho.
