Is security+ about equal to the CIW-Security exam? Any thoughts on pursuing CIW certifications?

CIW-Security is comparable to the Security+. Personally I thought they were both easy and that I invested to much time studying for them. The only thing that had me worried about the CIW test is the fact that to pass you have to score a certain percentage in each category. So you do have to know your stuff. I am not sure how much weight CIW certs hold. The only cert that is required for the job that I am jumping to after my current contract is up, is SSCP or CISSP. I am just getting the extra security certs so I have an edge on any competition that may challenge for the slot.
