Windows Address Book - VISTA

HELP!!
Does anyone know if it is possible to recover my contacts from Windows Contacts in Vista after a HDD format?

I reformatted and then re-installed Vista

Is there any FREE software out there that will help with this? I think I know the answer but I'm hoping there is a possibility???!!!

Unless you have friends at the NSA I am going to say your toast...

If you had not re-installed the OS you would have a good chance of recovering your data using consumer grade products that can directly access the drive. Having reinstalled Vista you probably would need a forensics person to try and recover your data. It would cost big bucks or as mentioned you would need a friend in some higher up mysterious organization.
