iPhone/Exchange 2007
Alright, so I get an email from the boss this morning about a client I know nothing about. The client read this article,
Apple explains iPhone OS 3.1 Exchange changes | Apple - CNET News
They want me to go into this client's Exchange server and "prove" to the user his iPhone will be fine. I am told we dont care about security and to disable it if it's enabled.
Any idea where I would look in Exchange 2007?

Apple posted a KB article about it here:
iPhone OS 3.1: 'Policy Requirement' error when adding Microsoft Exchange account
which includes a link to an KB article at Microsoft on Managing Exchange ActiveSync with Policies. -

I just had a conversation with a client about this a couple of weeks ago...
The global client access settings allow you to define the activesync device policies. You can have multiple policies defined for your organization, but only one policy applied to a given user. For example, you can create a policy that requires device encryption and only assign it to your iPhone 3Gs users and another policy that does not require encryption to the other iPhone users.
This update isn't a big deal. If you require encryption and a user doesn't have a 3Gs iPhone it just won't connect. All the Apple documentation I found was pretty clear about the functionality. -

I've setup multiple users on Exchange 2003, was basically like setting up an outlook client. We don't use SSL and no Exchange 2007.WIP:
