Scripting for Windows Sys Admins?

I don't know about the rest of you, but I could sure beef up my scripting skills. Anyone have any recommendations of good books/classes/tools to work on these? I'm looking for something that leans toward VBscript and Powershell for System Admin tasks.

For PS, I'm really liking PowerGUI.org - Free Windows Powershell Community
You can build up the commands via the GUI, and then switch to the tab to view the code. I find it easier to learn a new scripting language like this. -

Another thing you can do is to just think of a couple of tasks that are applicable to your day to day work that you would like to automate and use that as your jumping off point for learning.IT guy since 12/00
Recent: 11/2019 - RHCSA (RHEL 7); 2/2019 - Updated VCP to 6.5 (just a few days before VMware discontinued the re-cert policy...)
Working on: RHCE/Ansible
Future: Probably continued Red Hat Immersion, Possibly VCAP Design, or maybe a completely different path. Depends on job demands... -

Well, that is where I'm coming from. We needed to make some registry changes distributed from the GPO. It's a good thing we have programmers in house. . . I thought maybe I should stop slacking and get working on this.
Thanks for the book and web links. -

The TFM book is excellent. However, you might want to buy this eBook of the third edition that covers PoSh 2.0. You'll get the official release when it comes out, too.
