vlan configuration
keenon
i was trying to configure vlan sub-interfaces on my router but the only choices were 802.1q and another one i can't remember but it was something with security.
lab setup: 3640-ver 12.0
2 2501 ver 12.2
1 1924-EN
i was trying to use the 3640 for inter vlan routing but can't find anything for ISL trunking same as for the 2501 which ver 12.2 supports sub interfaces on e0.

You can only use dot1q on 10 meg and up. If you want to support ISL then you need 100 meg interfaces. Pretty much any version of 12.2 will support subinterface vlan encapsulation.
