Got a call the other day after applying for a help-desk job, was pretty sure it wasnt gonna pay enough, but it had MCSE listed so I thought I would try to find out a little more about it.
The recruiter calls and leaves me a voicemail, "Um slinuxuzer, yeah your over qualified for this position and we can't place you, but I know you know someone who is and I want you to help me get in touch with them" the tone was almost demanding. Freaking epic.

+1 Great idea -
unsupported Member Posts: 192I've never really had luck with recruiters. It started when I got my second tech job. I got the interview and job all on my own. A recruiter I was working with kept calling me, so I just told him that I just accepted a job and I no longer need his services. He asked me what company i was going to work for and I saw no harm in telling him. My mistake, because he had the audacity to raise his voice and threaten me "Oh, yeah, I *TOLD* you about that job!". He was expecting to get his cut, because he believed that he told me about a job there. When in fact he never mentioned that or any company name to me during the whole time he was pulling my chain about jobs, nor did he go to the company, fill out an application, submit my resume, interview with them, or get an offer letter....
