Cisco material Vs net+ material

Ok I do plan on going Cisco, which many say not to bother with net+ but i will anyway as kinda a first shot at my first exam, since I am pretty confident in my net+ knowledge. However it in school in a class called "Network Essentials" however, we didn't use a net+ exam book, we used Two Cisco books, Networking Basics, and IT essentials 2 network operating systems. Granted I might have to check out some actual net+ material so I can get what I may have missed, but am not sure, whats the difference between the two? Now current students are using Network+ A guide to networks as their material.

I don't think you will need much more than the ExamCram2 Network+ book. Cisco is hardcore compared to CompTIA's Network+.
