I just had a really quick question. After finishing HTML, XHTML, and CSS where should I go next? PHP or Javascript? Seems most people say PHP due to learning structure, but I didn't know if it might be easier to head right into Javascript. Thanks!

They obviously have their own unique characteristics, but if you know how to write a for-loop in one, the other's not going to blow your mind. I went on to Javascript at that point because it seemed like a natural flow to do the client-side stuff first.

Get that when you want to get into PHP/MySQL. Fantastic resource. -

The syntax was similar in style and once you know a programming language fairly well picking up another isn't too hard. Only took my about a week to learn the basics of PHP and then did a cram session over a weekend and built a full web portal for a final project. It wasn't too hard.
