30. Which of the following devices forwards incoming traffic to all ports except for the incoming port?
a. Switches
b. Firewalls
c. Routers
d. Hubs
e. Gateways

i thought the ports meant the software ports like port numbers
not ports like ports on a router
any ways the answer is hubs
i thought it was realy tricky icon_wink.gif

the idea of ports being both part of a physical network and part of the tcp/ip suite is kind of confusing at the start.

actually, i probably would have considered "switch" as an answer to the question, from a quick glance. very easy to read a question without reading the words. if you know what i mean ;)

well, a switch would also transmit to all other ports too. once it has built up a directory of which mac addresses are connected to which ports, it will start to filter the traffic
