SDM problem with restoring a different router configuration
Hi all,
I have the problem described in subject.
Following are the steps executed (see also attached image):
1) Execution of SDM for a router Cisco 877.
2) Click on “Additional Tasks”, click on “Configuration Management”, Click on “Config Editor” (the "Running Configuration" box contain the running Configuration, the "Edit Configuration" is empty)
3) Click on import (config from PC).
4) Select a configuration file saved on PC (the Edit Configuration box will contain the configuration selected).
Note: the configuration present on the file selected was saved from a Cisco 877 (identical model) on a network with different IP address
5) Click on “Replace Running Config”
6) SDM remains with hourglass cursor
7) After I closed SDM and executed again, the router is still with the old configuration
What is wrong in the steps above?
