I am getting into some new territory and need some great advice. We our main site and have a dr site and we have a san in both locations. They connect using an OC3 and a router. Makes sense to me. We are looking at replacing our san switches with 9222i's. A vendor came and and said we could get rid of our routers and just go point to point. Great sounds good. Not having dealt with fiber channel switches my question is if we put the wan connection (fiber) into both switches can we run any other traffic using vlans over that said fiber. What I am reading is no that the switches can vsan but not vlan is that correct or am I way off base?
