May be a stupid cisco SAN question but I need help!

I am looking at a cisco 9222i and can't seem to find an answer. If I have single mode fiber coming into one SFP on the 9222i and have multi mode fiber coming in on another SFP??

We have fiber coming in via single mode. ususally you have some sort of hand-off to change to multi-mode. So my question is can the 9222i do the hand-off?

I would contact Cisco about that. Questions about specific hardware like that would be better fielded towards them.

What is the issue?

The device supports multimode and single-mode transceivers as per here:

Cisco MDS 9222i Multiservice Modular Switch [Cisco MDS 9200 Series Multilayer Switches] - Cisco Systems

So you can physically connect. Beyond that some connectivity will work, other scenarios will not. What are you trying to achieve?
