Cisco PIX 501 and hidden VPN pre-shared key.

Hi could you help me. One of our partners (which with we have VPN connection) changes external IP address. As far as I know I need to change peer IP address and assign to it pre-shared key.

Unfortunately I don’t have the key and it looks like is encrypted so I’m not able to see it in configuration.

Could you help me to find how to recover the pre-shared key or change IP address on current one please?

    As far as I know you would have to change the password on both ends. If you are connecting to another company call them and ask what it is. They may know since it has to be the same on both ends. As far as the ip is concerned just go into config mode and then type out the command as you see it in the firewall but change the ip to the new one.

    I just took a backup to tftp. server and was able to read the pre-shared key.
