Acquiring Cisco Annex M firmware
This is getting frustrating.
I recently purchased a Cisco 877 Router on the premise that it would support Annex M (up to 2.5MB upstream). I have an ISP connection with Annex M, however, I think I have inadvertantly purchased the wrong router, and I don't have the necessary feature in the IOS to run Annex M.
How do I go about getting the right one?
Apparently I need a special release software 12.4(11)XJ. I've tried to download this, as we have a CCO account, but says it is forbidden and I cannot obtain the image.
Any ideas how I can go about getting this feature enabled?
Thanks

Cisco 870 Series Integrated Services Routers for Small Offices [Cisco 800 Series Routers] - Cisco Systems
Based on your post I'll assume you have a CISCO877-M-K9 or CISCO877W-G-E-M-K9 SKU.Q. What's the difference between the Cisco 877 and Cisco 877M?
A. Cisco 877M provides annex M support with the MTK20196P chipset. Cisco 877 can not be upgraded to provide annex M support.- Pete -

I'm talking to the reseller to see if we can get it sorted.
