Starting my 70-290 studies in January

My 70-270 exam is scheduled for January 2, and right after that I am going to chase the 70-290.

What would you all recommend as the most effective way to truly learn the topic in the shortest amount of time possible? To give an idea, I can dedicate 2 hours a day to uninterrupted studying.

Money is an issue, but not daunting.

I did see some topics mentioning VMware but I would not know where to begin with that.

For that exam, I'd use the Microsoft Press book. Use the study guide closely behind the book well.
