Help with a Virus removal the virut virus

hey can any one advise me on how I can kill the VIRUST virus?

how can I Kill this and get it off the Network and stop it from reinfecting the network??

got CA inoculateit with all the latest updates running and got the virus off the servers

but how can I Kill it for good and stop it from reinfecting?

1 Unplug from the network ASAP
2 Make sure no data was taken
3 Wipe Reinstall.

My University was just attacked back in Nov all student data compromised 9,000 ss#. This is a nasty virus! How did you get it ?

That malware is a demon. It literally infects every .exe that executes. Save yourself the headache. Backup the data, wipe, and restore. Otherwise you'll spend the majority of your time extracting service packs and replacing many, many files.
