    I personally don't think the end user will ever 'catch up'. For every feature a user masters, 4 more were introduced.

    Great post..you hit on some key topics..

    I want to also throw in a little extra bit of information most people take forgranted.

    Network- Not with Cisco, but people. Talk to people in jobs/roles you'd like...talk to people everywhere you go, and leave long-lasting solid impressions on them all. Don't burn any bridges (if possible) in the process..that person you burned the bridge with could end up deciding your fate sometime in the future.

    Every position I've ever gotten, has been through networking, knowing the right people. Having the skills is absolutely necessary, but if you know the right people, that gets your foot in the door, and having someone from the "inside" vouch for you personally is a very powerful tool.
