“Application Distributions” Question

I’m installing a non-msi application using the GP Preferences “Immediate Task.” This allows me to install it as an Administrator (required), as soon as the user connects in (VPN/Remote Users) and runs a gpupdate.

The problem is – it tries to install in background, and can’t because it requires some user interaction.

Can anyone tell me how to bring the task to the foreground?

Or, could anyone recommend a better way to do this? (Using either free MS tools or features already built into the software.)
