new memeber looking for VMware advice

Hi all!

Just working up to the 70-290, my first exam. I have Vmware installed and a full copy of Server 2003 on the way.

Just wondering if there is any way one can get S2003 in this lab enviroment to throw up random problems for me to solve. Maybe permission conflicts etc etc...

Or , is the best we can do is to make sure we know where to go and how to do what in a lab enviroment like this? thanks.

The version of S2003 that was sent to me turned out to be SBS2003, no good! Where do you all obtain a copy of S2003 for lab purposes?

I got a 180-day trial version with my MS Press 70-290 book (ISBN: 978-0-7356-2289-0)

I agree having your own lab is the best and I have my own VMware lab and bought TechNet so i can have every OS Microsoft makes for testing and have my entire domain at home in my lab for testing. That being said if you cannot afford it you can download the demo version as mentioned and or use this link to get some hands on experience of Server 2003.

I get everything I need from a Technet subscription. Luckily, the 2003 R2 trial does seem to still be available.
