Help upgrading IOS in 3550pwr switch

Hi I have a 3550pwr smi switch with a faulty ios. It boots up and then comes to initial setup asking yes or no to start initial setup and then reboots.

So i need to delete flash and install new ios in my t.f.t.p server. I have a new emi image. the problem is when i try to delete or do anything with flash image it says no permission to do that. I went switch mode and try what I could. So I need step by step instructions to delete the current image and to put the new image in.... Thanks:D

Can you be more specific about what didn't help? If your flash is trash, so is the switch -- but without knowing what you tried we can't tell you to stop wasting your time trying to revive a trashed switch.

I'm guessing that erase flash didn't work from your first post -- but you never gave us any output showing the commands you typed in and the failure, so we have no clue if you did the flash init first, or the load helper, or tried the delete command.

With out the output of a flash directory listing -- we don't know if that command even worked, or if it did, was it showing trashed permissions on the existing files?

Did you try a file system check on the flash?

Did you try formatting the flash?

Thanks guys it works I could delete the currupt IOS. But the new problem is the IOS I had rejected by the switch.

Any one have a good IOS emi image for 3550 pwr smi that would be great.
