I'm sys admin who's now going down the certification path. I just passed my CCNA test and now want to venture down some the Microsoft certs. I was thinking about starting with the 70-640 or 70-642 test. Does it matter what order I take the test in? Also, can anyone recommend good study materials for the test. It seems like it work be important to have a solid reading material, but also access to the Windows 2008 software. Is there a way to download the software for studying purposes? Or is there a trial version? Or some type of simulator like I had for the CCNA test? What about good practice tests? Your help and guidance is appreciated.

You can technically take the exams in any order you want, but I would recommend following the numbers. I think each one builds a little on the others so it makes sense to follow that path (unless you just have a lot of experience and the material is simply a review...then just have at it) -

I would recommend:
70-680
83-640
70-642
70-643
70-647
in that order.
