Howdy All!
I am a Linux expert by trade, and want to move to what we call the "darkside" (Microsoft).
Not totally move there, but I want to be well rounded.
Here is what I want to specialize in:
IIS
MS Server2008
mssql
Active Directory
Email Server
Windows Security
So far I have seen Windows Server 2003, and I am familiar with the non-server windows operating system (have used them all, setup networking, etc, from windows 3.1 to 7)
This is more for personal achievement rather than certs needed to get a job.
Can someone recommend a few certs to get me started?
TIA

That's probably the best single resource for all things Server 2008.
If you want to get more into the security side of things (ignore the bad review): Amazon.com: Windows Server 2008 Security Resource Kit (PRO - Resource Kit) (9780735625044): Jesper M. Johansson: Books
The "Mastering" books are good for other specific technologies: http://www.amazon.com/Mastering-Microsoft-Exchange-Server-2007/dp/0470042893/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&s=books&qid=1263052901&sr=8-1

Hyper-Me Banned Posts: 2,05970-643 (MCTS: Server 2008 Applications Infrastructure) covers IIS pretty heavily (among other things)
70-640 (MCTS Server 2008 Active Directory) covers active directory.
There is an assortment of exchange exams from 2003 to 2010, pick your posion.
70-642 covers basic SMTP servers, as well.
There are no security exams specific to 2008 that i know of, but there are some for 2003 server.
Theres developer and administrator exams for both SQL 2005 and 2008.
