Odd digital camera issue

I own a Fujifilm s1500 digital camera. I noticed when I shoot videos with it I get a small red dot on the left side, its even easily noticed on the camera's lcd screen. I first thought it was a dead pixel but when I shot some pictures on max resolution and viewed them close up on my computer no red dot was found, so it does not appear to be any dead pixels causing the problem. Any ideas?
