pcgrunt Member Posts: 3 ■□□□□□□□□□I am getting ready to take the A+ core test. Can you tell me some things to look out for? I have my IRQ's, DMA's, I/O addresses, Laser Print process down. But I am having trouble remembering all the processor bus widths and bus speeds. As well as the SCSI bus widths and bus speeds. How important is it to remember these? I also have my cable/ ports and basic networking down.
Thanks alot for any help you can provide. -
TeKniques Member Posts: 1,262 ■■■■□□□□□□On my test there were questions regarding the SCSI bus widths and speeds, but there were none on the Processors. I did get a few processor socket questions, but they were pretty easy. Ex: Pentium III uses which socket(s), etc.
Sounds like your ready with the other stuff, I had more network stuff on my test than expected, but it was all good and not too hard. -

Are there any cheep practice tests out there? -
TeKniques Member Posts: 1,262 ■■■■□□□□□□For your test cost, check out http://www.getcertify4less.com
It has some pretty good test package vouchers.
For practice tests, I used: This site , http://www.free-tests.com , http://www.mcmcse.com
They were all pretty good and had some pretty good questions on them. Good luck. And congrats to Cliff for being A+ certified
