Power consumption
Does anyone know how many watts are used by an average to high-end server per day?

tiersten Member Posts: 4,505What is an average to high end server? What I'd call a high end server is probably not what you'd call one. If it doesn't take up an entire rack then its not high end...
Buy one of those watt meter things and test it out IMO. It all depends on how much stuff you've got inside e.g. CPUs, memory, HDs etc... -

Each running around 2.4Ghz quad-core.
16 - 32 gigs ram.
Running RAID 5 with 5 disks, each running 500gig space.2017 Certification Goals:

Edit: im assuming you have these servers on a UPS that is managed -- can you log in to the UPS and find the load in watts or amps?
