VIC-FXS card need a voice module??

hey gurus

I am getting a Vic-FXS card for my 2610XMand 1760 cisco routers
do I need any voice memory module with a Vic-FXS card? to change the
voice to IP??? I am not sure...thanks

For the 26xx series routers you'll need a voice carrier module, something like the NM-2V, or NM-1V.

The 1760s have native VIC support, but you have to add DSP resources - Like a PVDM-256K-XX

And both will require (at least) a voice IOS.
