Windows DVD or CD
Hi guys,
I have windows licenses some oem some that came with the hp desktop computers and all that garbage software they include. I would like to do a clean copy install on the desktops but I don't have a CD. If i remember correctly there was a way to download the cd from Microsoft back in 2005. Is there any way to get the original software so that I can active my serial numbers.
I don't want to order the recovery disk or either install those garbage from HP and what not. I want a clean copy to be installed and all the good stuff I would put myself in. Keep it clean.
Also if I remember correctly some of the Windows Serial Numbers were not working on different windows XP releases for eg: Serial on SP1 won't work on SP3 right ? So first I need to get SP1 activate it and then install all the other SP2 SP3 etc .
Thanks a lot. I am not very familiar with licenses as I am a linux guy :P
